Moar changes!

I’m revamping the look of the site yet again. Website maintaining is an ever-changing progress. πŸ˜‰ Not only has the store been remade, but I’ve also cleaned up the Navigation links on the sidebar. You don’t have to go to a separate page to click on the weblistings links, so you can vote all you want from the main page! πŸ˜‰

Also, I now have a link to my Zazzle store. Not only can you see non-Ralynkei products (should I ever make them. πŸ™„ ), but you can check out new products, like the bumper sticker and magnet I created, before I update the store to show them! πŸ˜€

And, as some of you have noticed, I now have “TwitNews”–a.k.a. Twitter updates–located on the sidebar. This makes it easier to update everyone on the site (and, to some extent, what I’m up to) without having to post new entries every time. And since I have it linked up to my phone, I don’t even have to be online to update it! πŸ˜‰

And since I actually have today off of work (how did that happen? πŸ˜• ), that gives me more comic-making time! πŸ˜€ I’m going to dedicate as much of today to comic drawing as I can, and hopefully, I can have new ones posted in the next couple of days.

One final note: The forums should be coming back soon. Fireforumz just bought new servers, and is in the process of updating the entire site. Hopefully, once that’s done, we can get the community started again! πŸ˜€

    This is a very cool Web site. I am not sure how I never heard about it prior to this post. I think the bdnilneg of social media platforms makes the Web site appealing. However, in your blog you mentioned that the Web site is β€œpaying off” for Skittles? But how do you know this? Has there been data that proves that sales of Skittles have increased since the launching of the Web site?Before we can determine the success of the Web site, we have to determine what the overall goal of the campaign is. It is important to remember that successful Web traffic is not synonymous with a successful campaign. As we have learned in classes, awareness campaigns serve as means to ends. And as evidenced in the case studies textbook, it seems that too often public relations professionals mistake process objectives for impact objectives.As for the future of corporate Web sites, melding traditional corporate homepages with mainstream, social media Web sites could be a beneficial move for companies to communicate effectively. However, before deciding to launch a social media Web site, a company must identify its stakeholders and target publics. Then, the company can determine the best channel of communication to reach these groups. For example, if you were the communications specialist at a company with an identified stakeholder group of persons of the age of 65+, than a social media Web site would likely not be the most appropriate channel of communication – whether or not candy is the product being distributed.
