This one took way too long to make. Srsly. I bit off a little more than I could chew with this one, choosing character positions and “camera” angles that were a little too awkward for me. 😐 You’ll know ’em when you see ’em, and I’ll go into a little more detail below the comic. But for now…
…here’s the comic!
I’ve come to notice that it’s actually pretty hard to draw one character holding another in multiple frames. One frame is bad enough, but having to draw that through the entire course of the comic is that much worse. It’s also really hard to draw a character with a long muzzle from a front side angle. I’ve always hated drawing that, but there’s times when that’s just what works. And with the exception of the “Hi, Vulcan” frame, Arjur absolutely refused to be drawn correctly. (Bastard. 😡 ) I would’ve made him look a lot better, but I had to stop and use what I had when I realized that I was tearing the paper apart from all the erasing and redrawing. 😯
By the way, in addition to the next comic, I’m also working on a character profile page. That way, when I say things like “Arjur absolutely refused to be drawn correctly”, you’ll know that I’m talking about the elf holding the cat. 😛
